The move will migrate SEPM’s renowned content, including the Journal of Sedimentary Research (JSR), PALAIOS, and more than 220 ebooks. Now in its 85th year, JSR is the oldest earth science journal dedicated to the field of sedimentology and has a long tradition of publishing papers that become benchmark contributions to sedimentary geology. PALAIOS is the journal of choice for innovative research emphasizing the impact of life on Earth's history as recorded in the paleontological and sedimentological records.
SSA brings to the Silverchair Platform its two distinguished journals, the Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America—the premier journal of advanced research in earthquake seismology and related disciplines—and Seismological Research Letters—a journal of broad seismological interest for less-formal communication among seismologists, engineers, and earthquake hazards-policy professionals.
“We’re excited that SEPM and SSA will be substantially advancing the delivery of their online publications using the Silverchair Platform,” said Thane Kerner, Silverchair CEO. “By leveraging the new infrastructure and tools created for GSW, SEPM and SSA will achieve meaningful operating economies while providing distinctive value for their members, authors, and readers.”
“We are delighted to be joining other excellent GSW content as it builds on its offerings with the Silverchair Platform,” said Dr. Howard Harper, Executive Director of SEPM.
"The move to the Silverchair Platform will offer improved access to the research published in the SSA journals, as well as a much richer user experience for the Society's members and direct subscribers," said Nan Broadbent, SSA Executive Director.
