By June 2025, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) will be implemented, mandating adherence to specific accessibility standards for companies interacting with EU citizens. Publishers (and all content providers) can take proactive steps to ensure compliance.  This session will explore the comprehensive requirements of the EAA and provide actionable strategies for publishers. We will showcase examples from within our industry, but also how our colleagues in the educational market are handling the changes. Speakers will share tips on what to look for in their own processes and UI, such as:

  • Describing links accurately to ensure clarity for assistive technology users.
  • Ensuring video and audio content includes closed captioning and/or transcripts.
  • Maintaining proper heading structures within self-serve pages and XML for logical content translation.
  • Making PDFs and other files accessible, with guidance on creating accessible PDFs.
  • Generating an accessibility statement to outline compliance and gather user feedback.
Join us to learn how your organization can meet the EAA guidelines and collaborate with others to expand content reach and audience inclusivity.
