The OUP AI Discovery Assistant sprang from these early prototypes and offers an enhanced search experience on the Oxford Academic platform benefitting from increased maturity in AI tools and LLMs and a grounding in OUP’s trust and quality process. Beyond receiving more nuanced results, users can also ask follow-up questions and refine the prompt while still enjoying key standard functionality like availability markers and source linking for further reading.
